En estos dos años de pandemia, en Chile han muerto más de 57.000 personas por complicaciones asociadas al Covid-19. Estas cifras, sin embargo, no hablan realmente de las vidas que se perdieron, de los mundos que habitaron las víctimas de esta peste, de las pasiones que movían sus rutinas diarias, de los conflictos sin resolver, de los amores truncados, de las cosas que dejaron de hacer, los espacios íntimos que habitaron, en fin, de aquellos objetos y recuerdos inmateriales que hoy forman parte de esta memoria pandémica.

Son esos universos, reconstruidos a través de 28 historias de víctimas y familiares, los que configuran este proyecto documental que busca contar las vidas de los que ya no están. Lo que fueron y lo que quedó: la memoria de los muertos del covid.

In these two years of the pandemic, more than 57,000 people in Chile have died due to complications associated with Covid-19. However, these figures do not truly speak of the lives that were lost, of the worlds that the victims of this plague inhabited, of the passions that fueled their daily routines, of unresolved conflicts, of truncated loves, of things left undone, the intimate spaces they occupied—in short, of those intangible objects and memories that now form part of this pandemic memory.

It is these universes, reconstructed through 28 stories of victims and their families, that make up this documentary project aiming to narrate the lives of those who are no longer with us. What they were and what remains: the memory of the deceased from Covid.
